How comfortable the environment in the house will be, largely depends on the proper selection of color palettes. A proven, unquestionable fact is the influence of color on people in the interior. This or that shade promotes relaxation or adjusts to vigorous activity, surrounds with comfort or excites. Knowledge of color peculiarities helps to arrange the interior in the optimal color scheme.

How to choose colors
The question of what effect color has on the human psyche is of interest to such sciences as physics, psychology, physiology. Together they have accumulated enough facts that are acceptable for use in everyday life. It is known that it is often a mistake to choose your favorite color as an interior color (for example, for the walls of the room).

The influence of colors
All colors available to the human eye are visually representable in the form of a color wheel. In most aesthetic concepts, colors are divided into warm and cool colors. The former include red, orange, yellow and intermediate variants, and the latter include tones from blue to green.

From physiology we know that warm colors have a restorative effect: they increase efficiency and invigorate, like coffee in the morning. Bright tones from the series darting invigorate more, but very quickly begin to depress the nervous system, and are not good for the psyche of most people.

Cool colors in the interior cause the opposite, soothing effect. They help to maintain efficiency longer, as well as to relieve stress, to tune in a soothing way. Knowing these features helps to choose the best color scheme.

White
In the strict sense, white is not a color, but the absence of all the colors of the spectrum. Its main purpose in most interiors is to serve as a base, as it blends with the entire palette. White is associated with spirituality; it gives a sense of freedom and peace, energizing.

Black
Because of the peculiarities of perception, many people underestimate it, believing that black (in physics – the absence of light) suppresses the psyche and can cause melancholy and even depression. But it is often used for accents; and many consider it a sign of business or luxury. Black is an intriguing option, perfectly complements the decor in most styles and allows you to adjust the size of the room.

Red
In consciousness, there is a clear connection of red color with energy and active life position, and subconsciously it is associated with aggression and blood. In the interior red color is used rather cautiously, depending on the purpose of the room and the psychological makeup of people.

Orange
Orange, the neighbor of red, uplifts, invigorates and causes a desire to communicate. It is also known for its ability to energize, increase appetite and strengthen the will, although this effect is softer. If you want to understand how the interior affects the person, dilute the cold orange color in the living room or bedroom. The room will become more cheerful, and the cold tones will take on a pleasant expression to the eye.

Yellow
A good choice in many cases, as it has a positive effect on mental health, tones and improves concentration. Yellow (including shades: cream, beige) creates a cozy atmosphere, but some people get tired of a lot of yellow, which seems intrusive to them.

Green
Associated with nature, simultaneously relaxing and refreshing, promotes rapprochement. It looks good in combination with many other colors, makes them softer. Green is often made the base for the bedroom, living room and office, but in the nursery it occurs, as a rule, as an accent. Shades of green affect the nervous system in different ways, and this should be taken into account. Dark tones can cause depression and loss of energy, and an excess of green – boredom and sleepiness.

Blue
Like green, has a connection to nature, but is perceived differently. It is known for its ability to visually push the boundaries of space, so it is suitable for decorating small rooms. The color blue relaxes and lowers the blood pressure, which makes the blue interior seem cooler, a suitable property for the living room and bedroom.

Blue
Like all cold colors, blue calms and visually enlarges the room. A room that has blue in the finish looks both austere and sophisticated at the same time. Light variations of blue are suitable for decorating the bedroom, bathroom, children’s room. Dark blue sets up for productive work, and therefore successfully used in the office decor. In some styles (classic, modern) blue is often used as a base.

Purple (mauve).
Mystical, majestic and luxurious is called purple in the interior; the influence of this shade on people is multifaceted. In the color wheel purple is formed at the junction of warm red and cold blue, which indicates its inner contradiction.
