The service helps to create a palette taking into account the selected color harmony rule and color mode. The main color can be selected on the circle or specify a code manually, and then copy the color codes. The advantage of working with Adobe products is that you can save the palette in Creative Cloud after logging in and then use it in Photoshop, Illustrator, Fresco and other Adobe services.
Other interesting features of the service are:
- contrast check;
- check the combination of background, text, and graphics;
- extraction of palettes and gradients from uploaded images;
- Viewing ready-made palettes and copying their contents.
The latest update of Adobe iOS products is clearly the largest ever and makes it clear that the future of the company associates its future clearly with Creative Cloud – all products received the letters CC in the name and improved their integration with the cloud. Now most of the applications are divided into “companions” of Illustrator and “companions” of Photoshop, which is reflected in a change of colors and names of the applications. Almost all of the apps are free if you buy a subscription to Creative Cloud, so Adobe is giving you more and more reasons to subscribe. But back to Colors CC.
The program interface is pretty straightforward. After you run it, a camera window opens, and you need to point the device at an object in the color palette you’re interested in. Colors CC itself will determine the dominant colors in the image and select the top 5 colors. You will only have to click on the button to confirm your choice.
Captured color set should be saved by naming and tagging it if you want. You can also share it on Twitter, Facebook (to show all your followers that you are a real designer), or by email.
You can also fine tune your palette. You can do this in two modes: as a color wheel where you select the colors you want, or by adjusting each color individually by setting its red, blue, and green components. The color wheel will help you choose colors that match each other, the application has the ability to select different palette modes: complimentary, monochrome and others. In turn, the RGB adjustment will help to fine-tune the result.
The color combination you choose will be carefully saved in Creative Cloud and delivered directly to desktop Photoshop, the latest version of which just learned to work with cloud libraries, and not just colors, because Adobe now has mobile tools for almost any occasion.
